During a course in painting in France I learned to know the watercolors of the American painter John Singer Sargent. He shows that an aquarel can be tender but also very powerfull.

I travel a lot and find there inspiration for my paintings; this may be a landscape, but also a simple form or a line in that landscape.

Brevity is also a fascinating theme. Everything what disappears and returns again in another form.

But the everyday life in itself gives much inspiration. Thus the knowledge about our world shows that there is so much more than our senses tell us. This invisibility inspires me in making paintings with light spots, as windows into another reality.
